When your heart has a place for someone, it can never be sold off and filled again.
As empty as it may seem, you remember who is supposed to be there.
You'd like to think the place has their spirit. And you hold onto that aspect of them.
How they made you feel, how they changed you, how they thought and felt about you.
You never forget someone you loved, and you still do sometimes. But they don't always realize it.
When you see them, talk to them, text them, you are happy for a moment in time.
Hoping they see how you still feel. You can tell them, but they never really know.
That place in your heart for them is sacred.
