THE OLD MAN AND THE BOOK

The old man opens the book of his life
to revisit the pages of his youth
and finds them in vivid images of beauty and glory.
The glory of the days where the dreams were set free
and the feet roamed the jungle of the unknown paths
where worries and fears were lifted by the careless wind
living his bare chest exposing his wild heart.
Now, he gently closes the book and smiles.
When he walks, his feet are light and he glides,
for he knows the path.
-Time is not his enemy
when he sees it as old and wise.

Could that book be the one in Yeats's When You Are Old ;)
