The Sleeping Man

A young man once had a lovely sister whose best friend loved him very much. So himself and this young lady went out for a while but one day he found that he didn’t love her all that much in return anymore. So he left his only sister’s best friend for another young girl and when that special young lady found out that she had been dumped for another she straight away turned into the most terrible witch of all. She was so devoured with jealousy and anger at the guy and his new girlfriend that she put a strong spell on him to make him sleep for 100 years until true love’s kiss should awaken him at last. He slept in blissful slumber in a deep and spellbinding sleep in his small room for many years. Decade after decade he would sleep soundly and his loving sister would call on all manner of lovers to come and kiss his lips deeply in the hope of awakening him from his deep sleep before it was too late. But still he slept soundly year after year as his only little sister would sit by his bedside and say to him ‘Why would you not awake with all these precious maidens kissing you so deeply out of true love. Will you still sleep on forever dear brother of mine. Will you just keep on sleeping until the day it is too late?’ But he just seemed to smile a sweet and loving smile in his deep untroubled sleep. Would you wake up if so many beautiful girls came and kissed you tenderly on the lips each and every day. Or would you just keep on sleeping in blissful slumber in your tender soft bed of deep dreams of love. One day true love's kiss might arouse his spirit once again after all. Until then he sleeps on forever as the only prince of all true heart’s kisses. ‘Kiss me tender. Kiss me true. Our love will last for all time to come.’ And still he sleeps the slumber of love and all tender kisses always. Only time and true love will do one day. The love of the daybreak was only moments away forever.
