There's A Book Out There For You

There's A Book Out There For You

She'd written books
Everyone of them leaving her more empty,
For the feelings she felt
Went to her readers
But not to love,
Thinking about giving it all up
Surely one more would turn her stone,
Sitting coffee in hand
A beautiful soul stumbled on a book
Not hers, not even like hers or any others,
The cover plain the title so so,
But the words were magic
And the more she read the harder her heart beat,
All those wonderful feelings she once possessed
Filled her up, the book caressed between her breasts,
She looked at the author and at a man, she knew.

He was a writer who wrote a book,
It decorated tables holding papers down,
Proud of his work struggling to continue
These feelings he poured into words
Have started to dwindle,
His hate for love had built
For no love did he feel
Why write about something that he knows not.
Wishing his books could live up
To his favorite writer
Which he read all of them, she must know love,
And as he studied her picture in the books back
He knew.

He knew that she would be at a book signing
She in her world hoped he be there
He stepped up to a long line of life
Could it be everything he wanted towards the end,
She signed and sighed all the while holding his book
Walking up to her table eyes grew wide as she looked
Those feelings again the beating heart
Twas as they say love at first sight,
His nervous knees sweaty hands
Cleared his throat to make sure words come out right,
Calmy he says, "Would you please sign my book
I'm an extremely huge fan?"
Her smile bared teeth and handed him a book and replied, "Only if you sign mine first."
