Tides of Change
Lightning clashed and the ship tossed about in the ever growing hurricane. Blowing so hard were the winds that all the windows on the ship had broken, the wooden hull of the ship had begun leaking, and the main mast was bending under the immense pressure. Below and above deck crew members were working frantically to keep the ship afloat. Wave after wave crashed over the ship, drenching all in its icy torrent. The crew may have begun to despair and lose hope but for all our sakes, I shall not. This ship will not be claimed by the sea nor shall we perish this night or any other night while on board. Courageously, we must keep going and not be consumed by fear but use it to drive us to do great things. Our fear can either empower or destroy us- the choice is for each to make on his own. Personally, I chose never to give up or lose courage. This is my ship, my crew, my friends, my family, and our future colony. No matter the storm or danger, nothing will take any of this away while I still breath. I gave my word.
