Put your things in there, its fine.
She got her bag ready and put a toothbrush and some perfume and spare clothing. 

She arrived early to surprise him after stopping by the market to pick up a romantic dinner.
She heard noises coming from the bathroom, it sounded like he was in pain.
She called to him but heard no response and heard the shower running. 

She went to the kitchen and started unpacking the bags then heard the front door slam shut.
She ran out into the hallway and saw Janet from work running down the hall with just her coat half on and one shoe.
She left the bags half emptied on the kitchen counter and walked down after her.
She left her keys above the empty drawer.

She now had 2 toothbrushes.
