POETIC VIEWS

Poet:
Anju Kapoor (Bahrain)

Poem:
I WISH
“I wish
I could deaden my body i am currently occupying
To feel free from a  greed and excess
for the want of being a minimal.

I wish I
I could be a little more vulnerable to feel and touch life In a carefree way
To dress up in wings of bird and attain freedom.

I wish
I could broaden the landscape of my thoughts
To where my existence feels the ultimate joy of just being with myself
The depletion of growing ambition I do not want to pursue

I wish
I could  negotiate with time so that I could attend to my inner feelings
Without being haunted by the cold remorseful memories which are dark and sadden me

I wish
I could shock my body to the only " primal senses " that  I want to relate to
To Feel love in a way an animal would feel love - in all  selflessness.”
