Is your bar getting raised yet? Are you starting to get a better idea of the dedication it’s going to take to carve out your spot in this world? In this age of entrepreneurs, you need to be more consistent and courageous to stand out.

Mastery-

Mastery comes from hours of honing your skills and the ability to be shapeless. Bruce Lee redefined the martial arts world, and experienced great success in film while acquiring international fame. Many people don’t realize a young Lee was influenced by his father (much like Mike Tyson had the inspiration from his coaches). It is important to note all of the similarities the greats have in common. It’s like a giant puzzle and we’re just starting to put all the pieces together in this chapter. Find the best in your field and mirror them; what worked and what didn’t.

At age 6, Bruce was already acting in local films. Lee didn’t just wake up in his thirties a massive success; he put in years of hard work.  In 1970 Bruce Lee injured his back, damaging to his sacral nerve. The injury was due to vigorous training and heavy lifting, and deemed “permanently debilitating” by his doctors. Through determination he made a full recovery and went on to star in four and a half films made between 1971 and 1973.

“You must be shapeless, formless, like water. When you pour water in a cup, it becomes the cup. When you pour water in a bottle, it becomes the bottle. When you pour water in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Water can drip and it can crash! Become like water my friend.” -Bruce Lee
