I wish that I could stay
Seems like only yesterday I stepped into you're world
And met the most amazing, very special little girl
She has your style and beauty, dances with such grace
I know your always on her mind... It's written on her face
Your daughter is your one true gift, I'm privileged to know
I've guided and I've taught her, whilst I've watched her grow
Her silent worlds not lonely,lip reads at such a pace
Hand signs competently, a winner in life's race
Her inner strength amazes me, each corner that she turns
Gives my life a purpose, as little things she learns
I promised you I'd help her, each and every day
Now my task is almost done... I wish that I could stay
A confident young lady, she's growing up to be
Always wins her battles, inspirational is she
Seems like only yesterday, She stepped into MY world
