I wish for your freedom
I wish I could give you sunshine, that warmed my skin today
I wish you had smelled the scented flowers, they keep the blues away
I wish that you'd heard the gentle song from birds on the wing
I wish I hadn't missed the call... ( I didn't hear it ring)
I wish you had the cool fresh air, to gently kiss your skin
I wish the Seasons didn't have to pass you by again
But April showers could be yours...for splashing in the rain
I wish you could have witnessed a perfect day in Spring
Not locked away in a colourless world
