Super Wish

How can anyone watch the news,

not feel the blues,

not feel afraid or confused.

Heard a story almost made me cry,

made me go look into my sons eye,

before wife went to work,

gave her a more heartfelt, longer goodbye.

I wonder how people can have such hate,

perform these vicious actions,

without taking time to contemplate.

Feel so helpless,

not nothing I can do,

I wish that I could,

protect each and everyone of you.

This is something that I imagined for hours,

I could make the world a safer place,

wish I had super powers.
