Turn The Page
Some of you may disagree
with me, but each and every day all I see
Are unhappy faces
Pain is growing, and growing while misery erases
All human hope
While teens are busy getting jacked up off of dope
Some overdose
Others fall into a trap
Immigrants, are attacking the entire map
War, war, war
It seems hate is what most adore
To see, to feel
It seems even more real
Than love or kindness
Excuse me, but this is madness
We are creating our own path to destruction
With a mass production
Of weapons being created
Simply designated
To kill
Beyond our will
But you see
People like me
Wish for peace
Yet instead, Americans who are obese
Make the headlines of six o'clock news
Yet, if the news castor was in their shoes
It would be a different story
Still Americans wave the flag in glory
For what, having killed soldiers in Iraq?
Bet those children too, wish they could have their daddies back
But nope, that does not count
It is all for the amount
Of American Pride the soldiers felt
Having death's under their belt
To report to the asshole of a president
Who sits on his ass, talking on a screen about commitment
To the safety of our citizens
Yet it is all because of the government that millions
Have died over materials, like oil
Doesn't it make your blood boil
You too?
Yet I don't believe there is a thing we could do
To turn the page
All I wish, is to end this rage
Bring food, to those who starve
Instead of supplying drunks in the bars
With more booze
How bout buying African children some shoes?
I wish I could say
I don't hate society, but I hate it in every possible way
A bunch of Jerks
Controlling how each human heart works
We all get taught
To be society's little robot
Of a slave
Until the grave digger places us in our grave
