IN THE JAWS OF DEATH

IN THE JAWS OF DEATH

MY FLESH EATEN FROM WITHIN
ALL I CAN RECALL IS PAIN,
LIFE DRIFTING ON THE WIND
EVEN BREATHING BECOMES A SIN.

SO IN STILLNESS I LAY,
UNABLE TO MOVE
IN THE SLIGHTEST WAY.

THE STRONGEST OF MEDICATIONS
ARE WEAKEN AT ITS CORE,
MY BATTLE WITH CANCER
THAT MAN EATING SORE.

TAKE ME TO THE THEATER
AND CARVE ME LIKE A CAKE,
WHAT HAVE I TO LOOSE,
I CAN SEE HEAVENS GATE.

Wilford Barker.

Been there, still there, going who knows where, but we will all get there wherever it is. Sympathy, the treatments can be worse than the flippin disease, they were with me. Knowing you have the dreaded C changes us so much. Be strong, I don't know where you are with your treatments but i know there's a heck of a lot of people surviving this foul invader. Yes it's a tough fight and there will be really horrible days as you know... but it's worth surviving.
