True Friends Make Amends.

Out on a late one, feeling the rain hit my skin, im getting cold so the pain will eventually numb, feeling uptight so i wind up in a gaze and twiddle my thumbs.

I want to feel happy because i've had bad experiences with those i've already met, i would love to put my heart out there but i have anxious attempts to forget.

I get overlooked because of my height, the one thing i can't change, i've searched for the right girl but it seems i'm always out of range.

I often laugh and try'n embrace, but i dont notice that the bad thoughts are visible to read all over my face.

I can hold a smile that fools everyone, what people dont see though is my self inflicted verbal gun, without you there is only darkness.

I dont want to feel like a burden but i always do, i was dealt a pair and unfortunately i fit the shoe, we can't pick family but we sure can pick friends, we shouldn't speak of hate so lightly, cease your weapons and just make amends.

Being Me

5 stars because you have expressed the anguish in this write so well! Love how you used rhyme in this...subtle and internal. Excellent x
