Meadow Rose

ℙ𝕆𝔼𝕋𝔼𝕊𝕊𝔻𝔸ℝ𝕂𝕃𝕐

Affixed in meadow lush
Blazing cheeks all ablush
Allure reigns on grassy field
Nourished on beams that wield

Passerby may happen upon
At early light of dawn
I humbly ask, pluck me not
For thriving tis duly sought

Keen tis fickle thorn
On stem haphazardly adorn
If you should pluck by chance
Assuredly I’ll deeply lance

T’would be such crying shame.
To extinguish blossom’s flame
Admire luster from yonder.
So many may stop and ponder.

Yes, a very beautifully put plea by Rose to leave it be (i confess to sometimes bring roses for the wife, but they are store-bought). Never pluck a flower, insects will go hungry, starving birds and us for birdsong 🐦

You have an admiration for nature. I, too, love it’s complexity and at the same time it’s wonderful simplicity. Just now I am reading your work and this Meadow Rose is a lovely mixture of that.
