Puppet Master

Part 2

Puppet Master

Loose strands dangle from her limbs, he finally became bored with her.

He had no more tricks up his sleeve, he had no more desire to control.

Nearly a decade of pulling the strings, he finally decided to let her go.

She had prayed and dreamt for this day to come, it took all her faith.

With him long gone she doesn’t know how to feel, he was her brain.

Deep rooted insecurities continued to whisper her lost name.

She was finally free but had no recollection of a life without much pain.

She was finally free from his hands, no longer bound by his strings.

She was in control & saw no other way, together she tied the loose ends.

To us a noose, to her a necklace symbolizing an eternity without pain.

Her only prop was an old wooden barstool, for once she could stand tall.

With one firm step and an abrupt fall, she had her very last curtain call.

Just a reminder this isn’t about me but rather the control people allow others to have over them in relationships. My mom had many boyfriends/ 3 husbands and she rather feel like crap under their control then learn to be happy free.

Thanks Marion ❤️

Being Me

No one should ever control another! Free will all the way. It's a sad world where this sort of things happen, and, as Marion says, time and again.  Well written x
