My Soul is My Foe

Oh my beloved Soul

My Soul is My Foe

Oh my beloved soul,

How did I fall, to the sting of a Foe.
Why am I easily lure, to lose what is pure.
Refine my thoughts, and purge the cause which tainted my heart.
I seek a remedy, to tame a beast that tears me silently.

Entreat me not to the gift of sin, but open my eyes to the light I may see.
For what I seek I may find, to ease the troubles of my heart and mind.
I hold no secrecy in enmities, but to gaze upon a serpent to heal me.

For a lost dream can be found, in Him who preaches on top of a mount.
For to live a thousand lives, is my story to be told of time.
Release me from thy hold, that I may enter my desired folde.

Oh my beloved Soul.
