If Raven Was to Come Today

From my Raven Collection

If Raven Was to Come Today

If Raven was to come today
I'd tell him I don't wish to play

you see he comes to me as grief
today I have not one fresh reef

today the sun, the sun does shine
I do not wish to cry by shrine
the snow is far the sun, suffice
no freezing winds no breaking ice

just calm and warmth
a peaceful day
I'll let my grief just rest and lay

if Raven was to come today
I'd tell him I don't wish to play.

This is an utterly fantastic read... seriously Shirley, the flow, the rhyme, ( not that poetry has to rhyme ) but when done well it is so effective... the sentiment
and very very relateable. Honestly high among  your best I think ❤

Love what you've done here, Shirley!  It's as though grief is a raven.
