What is happening to this place I call my home

What is happening to this place I call my home
This world I call my life
This world where my babies are growing, and living their lives
This world that fights and torments
Loves and cries,Â
This world where I am meant to feel safe and secure
This world where babies are murdered, children are slaves, rich white men throw their toys and we are ment to care.
Wars after wars
Brawls after brawls,Â
and we still think we are a the smartest animals on the block?
How?Â
We are destroying our, now,Â
our future, our past and presentÂ
And we are drinking champagne at the same time.

A hardhitting poem lament and yes its happening just as you say, a sorry state of affairs indeed. Kudos for a great concerned poem, caring for the planet too.
Plz also read and comment my newest poem too , but if that's work n a bother then fine its ok.
Thank you for your reply,
Please read my most recent poems also, we have the same political ideas, with Palestine anyway.
Good write, and I often question what we can do in the free world by not blaming a particular communityÂ
Thank you for reading my poem.
