Are you coming for Christmas 
I ask

I left
At Christmas you say

But you'll be here for dinner, oh
Surely you will ??
Course I'll be there Mam
I'm dead....  I'm not ill,

I agree with Bernadette. I almost feel like I should not be commenting on your poem. But not to do so would be tantamount to a sin. Because whether I read this as someone who writes, or someone who doesn't, its impact is the same. x
