Poem -

Light of love

By nardine sanderson 2025©️

It's not enough to say I love you, without you that world had died, I kept those promised kisses, as you sleep eternal,  my body cried,

Tis love that suffered the punishment,  was my heart that felt the pain, but some of us just move on, and somehow start again,

It's not simple,  the moon still asks for your presence,  the sun still weeps like me, all the stars are silent,  in some parts of the galaxy,

I know it's been quite some time, since my desire to feel this hard in love, by being here and living on, while your spirit rose above,

I shall not grow silent in loves accord,  but ask the lord of his love too,  for it brings me back to you,

And love can move like shadows,  it's always the grace of God indeed,  enriched by all i have to hold,  some might call it need,

But I say it is forever like a tree as tall once planted by seed, but how on earth can love be honered,  by sounds of love and speed

Tis the light there yonder and fonder I've become to know,  that love in death can't stop or die,  but further does it grow.

A beautiful poem Nardine and I remember enough about your poetry to know to whom this poem is written. Love the presentation as couplets. There are many lovely verses but my favourite has to be the one beginning "it's not that simple ...." I love the moon, sun and stars in that verse. ❤️🙏

2 MUCH - 2 LOVE

Its not simple,
The silent of an accord,
can only be sung to a lonely tune,
I have and was a singer of that same song,
Indeed,
Very well expressed,
Thank you,
Nardine,
