dog likes walking

dog likes walking
~~~~~~~~~~~~
In woods alive  Snuffling out
The scent and ways
Of wild things
She knows     Now't about
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
She's happiest here on
These here trails, me
I like the sea and moonÂ
Way shadows loom
On timeless sand
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Way god comes down andÂ
Makes demands
Ensures the waves roll in and out
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Bids them rage and roar and shout
Conducting all the twists and
Turns of
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Reasonings I know now't about
Nobody knows. Plans are fates way of justifying the test we all are put through, until a time we realise we're in the cradle of a total unknownÂ
'I love my dog as much as I love you.' Cat Stevens. They were the best days. 🙂
I like the theme running through the two parts of your poem - nowt about. For two reasons really. I love that expression, it was a part of my youth and as regards what you talk about I have no desire to know owt about them. Just accept them like the dog accepts he does what he does. He doesn't query it or try to analyse it. x
There may well be those who pass this way who see these well lacquered words as just simply layered one next to t'other in neat little rows .. But I know for a bloomin fact there is far more pinned to this page than just words .. One has to consider spacing and timing and reps amongst other things plus the workings of a poets mind .. and when or if one considers all these things and more .. only then will they appreciate that that mind is indeed a diamond mined .. I love it like a fat kid luvs cake .. Neville x
