Poem -
If I were in love
Revised
If I were in loveÂ
It would be with the trees.
Trees have the natureÂ
To shed all their leaves.
Â
If I were in love
It would be with the clouds.
Clouds are so loudÂ
When rain pours itself down.
Â
If I were to swing from a push
Out far enoughÂ
On the play ground of life,
I would finish up hardlyÂ
Â
Starved of the light.
And if this love could catch
People mightn't be frightenedÂ
So much of the night.
