A tragic tale of infancy

A tragic tale of infancy

Muddy gruby kittens pounce into my mammys washing machine

To be cleaned with fairy pods and curious comfort

They tip tap upon the glass door with squeaky claws

Crying suds from there cute beady eyes.

Straws of hay and warm milk await my pet clowder

Sheep's wool and iron lining aglow in the presence of burning slack

This will be a night of yawns and snuggles

A slumber beneath a blanket of feline black.

I hear the machine click and pluck the clump of sleeping soggy moggys

I giggle with joy

A quick dry in lavender towels
There so still and silent

Not making meows.

Powerful, so many abuse animals and and I think this one has a magnificent shock value, the way it's written is very clever. Kudos. 🌹

Not sure what I was thinking when I wrote this, I got an image of a cat in my washing machine and just went with it, I'm not sure it has anything to do with abuse, thanks for reading.

Oh god... I'm glad it's just a poem and not reality.... and I agree with Shirley... powerful x

It's probably reality, I'm sure it's happened at some point in time, in the time of our infancy.
Thanks for reading.

A shock to the system after reading and agree with above comments.
A poem to make one's heart beat faster and deftly presented.
Powerful and unsettling.

I think this poem is a representation of humanitys time here on earth, the mistakes we made and continue to make, how, in our infancy we are stupid and our actions have terrible consequences.

Thanks for reading.
