Shadows

Life is a scorned woman
Life is a laughing child 
Life is a ghost in the crowd 

Life lingers on, 
as its shadows disappear with the dawn. 
Beat-beat-beat, is all is to hear, as death draws near. 

The pull of the darkness is oh so heavy, but, the beauty of the light is warm and steady. 
Floating like a cloud towards the light, is where I want to go, but the darkness in its familiarness is the easier road.

Through the pain and deception of this life. I only perceive to control what is the inevitable, for their is a killer in the crowd, a killer in the shadow. Stalking, hiding, waiting, it comes for me at every turn. Deceived control of a life at a slow burn. 

In life there is no control, only a belief we have it in our grasp, but it is gone as fast as the wind blows, as the sea breaks, as the sun casts, amongst the dawn. 
All we have is this moment, the now and the here. 
The light casting away all fear. 

So live in it, the hear the now, the light not the dark. 
Let the sun warm your face, 
Let the child surround you in his embrace. 

Cry with the scorned women, 
Laugh with the laughing child, 
Leave the shadows behind. 
Renew the darkness of your mind. 

Lose control 
Leave control 
Let it all go, control.
