Selfless Love

I’ve become my own disaster, when I’m only trying to help. Be the soldier in the battles of me against the world.

I struggle to be strong, when many times I’ve been betrayed. People I’ve always protected,  seem to have more than one face.

Why-y-y am I-I-I, the one-e-e, in the mud-d-d. And why-y-y, is it always me-e-e, the person suffering-g-g, for not giving up-p-p.

I ponder every moment, when at war within myself. Self-sabotaging feelings I won’t allow to be real.

Numb to all my senses, I can’t even feel my pain.  Enemies I would have died for, just diminished all my faith.

Why-y-y do I-I-I, still believe-e-e, in my foes-s-s.
And why-y-y would I rather see-e-e, my fake friend/enemies with the peace in my war. 

The damsel in distress, is so damaged and so depressed. For being such a fool to a world with people so damn cruel.

All to her hearts content, she loves with all of her  abyss depths. Despite all of her wounds she still fights on for something real.

In her ocean filled eyes, deep trenches of tears she hides. Gasping for air, she’s trying to accept her fears. 

Caught up in the swell of her actions and all her thoughts. She cares of what some think of her, when she shouldn’t care at all.

Why-y-y can’t she see-e-e, she is all she needs-s-s, to end this war-r-r. 
And why-y-y does she deny-y-y, the ocean tears she hides-s-s, are meant to overflow-w-w.

Why-y-y won’t she fight-t-t, for a breathe of life-e-e, she’s worth more then most-t-t. 
And why-y-y won’t she embrace-e-e, all of her mistakes-s-s, and love she don’t give herself-f-f.

I need-d-d you to know-w-w, that you’re worth more than gold-d-d, a saviour to us all-l-l.
And my dear-r-r, let me make this clear-r-r, you need to love yourself-f-f.

And soon-n-n then you will see-e-e, what it is you mean-n-n and how your love changed this world-d-d.
