At the Very End of All My Tunnels

There is a light at
the end,
of every single
one of my tunnels ..
But only
lovers and friends,
know that
itâs there and make
it out clearly ..
Regardless, that is
of the weather,
or distance or time
of the year ..
Still, it is no secret
it burns
and shines always,
for those who
so wish it to be there ..

making our own peace with life the universe and everything?...that's probably what you meant and you are probably right but if we could all actually do that there would be journey would there...we would all be born ...bland and peaceful...hmmmn

Whole armies should throw down their weapons & the despots who fund them (albeit) through their largely ill gotten gains should demand that all their nuclear weapons and similar nasty stuff be decommissioned, de-nucliefied, deactivated and safely destroyed .. and then said military personnel and despots take up both shove h'penny and crocheting .. for a start anyway .. xÂ
Absolutely 100% completely agree with you...but I ask you this ...given that war has been ongoing somewhere since the very beginning of time and yes...we all know that they're always about power, money, religion or land and never about right and wrong....
who is it that time and time again...all over the world and through every age contunually elects or follows or idolise's such despots, tyrants, sociopaths and psychopaths? ...us...the stupid people. Ultimately it is us...your average Joe...responsible...because we fail to change or even think of changing the way we are lead and governed...
which is maybe the great fault in the human gene that makes us deep down inside...despicable creatures.  Hugs x

seriously though...speaking as your average peaceable Joe, if someone seriously threatened my loved ones I would kill for them as I've no doubt 99% of humans would also. That makes me a hypocrite and also.in the right circumstances capable of murder. Therefore, it is in us by nature, by genetics to inflict harm when we feel.it is justified( the word 'justified' being the cause of most wars) ( and boy, some if the ways THAT has been done!)
Now then....who would create such genetics in the first place?
