Poem -

Stars 4

I wrote to the sea
On a weekend away from you.

You were like the sun.

I missed you when I was gone.

Or star, rather, it was!

You were like a minor star

That shines so far

From me it hurt.

Yes, I remember it now

Like it was November, me a

Typical mess, you, respectfully sexy.

All the gray language had gone.

All there was was light.

My return brought new poetry.

There was even music for a while.

Your emotion is beautiful, passionate for sure with a touch of elegance thrown in for good measure. 🌹

This is outstanding Rory, for me anyway
I love the lament of it, the soulful whispers to a muse ...far away,
'I wrote to the sea'
what a wonderful first line x

I won't tell you then, that I've used this line before. All well, they're my lines! I'll use them how ever many times I like. Lol

No rules in poetry...well there are but a great poet on here once told me...
rules are meant to be broken 🙃🙂😃

Oh, you do write poetry for poets, dear. I will do my best to continue reading your work throughout the workdays and late at night when I am sick of my own thoughts.
