lets eat grandma

Punctuation saves lives, they say,
With a comma, we keep dismay at bay.
"Let's eat, Grandma," the children cheer,
Inviting her to dine, crystal clear.

Without that pause, oh, what a fright!
"Let's eat Grandma" – a ghastly sight.
A tale of cannibals, not of love,
A missing comma, pushed and shoved.

So gather 'round the table spread,
With joyful hearts and well-fed.
For commas grant us peace of mind,
In sentences, where meanings bind.

We'll feast on words, grammar's delight,
And savor phrases, cooked just right.
For in the world of punctual norms,
A comma ensures no one transforms.

So here's to Grandma, safe and sound,
In punctuation, solace found.
Let's eat and laugh, with none alarmed,
With Grandma here, we're all charmed.

Hi Janie,
Well put, however the no punctuation
brigade get away with murder.
Unfortunately, Bernie seems to be right.
Love,
Terry.
