Ego is a great opponent

I looked upon her when she
Was young, nothing escaped my
Notice of her.

I saw the skyline in her
Vision but did not set my
Sights on her gaze.

The cities all looked the same.

The park where I threw my ball
And the dog chased
Name of something I can't recall.

We were small.
A stranger more than ever, now.
How was I to know?

A lasting thing is not love's gift after all.

Let me be the first to sprinkle stars here Rory. I love the way you have set it out bringing ellusiveness to the obvious. Hints of childhood adoration and sadness too.
Perfect last line...absolutely perfect x

I see this as your very first love, I see that you saw everything in her, a beautiful thought and a stunning piece of reflection 🌹
