Writers Turmoil

Writers Turmoil

Intent on self exploration, stripped and laid waste to the crows, my lungs collapse and I drop to my knees, light cracks in my heels and toes.

I claw and scratch through dirt and mire, I drag my carcass through the rugged terrain,Β  I scour the dark through wind and fire, I search for myself, humane.

Upon a cliffs edge in tempest, I reflect on my mortal coil, imagery of the freshest, like seeds sprouting from soil.

Fingernails immersed in my gums, whispers on the wind embrace, new sounds like the beating of drums, my abstract suddenly has face.

Beautiful and so very true. Written in such a graceful piece. We are all open to interpretation once we click publish the internet can be so very dark, and sometimes like in this moment a gratitude to the writer. Inspiring and powerful. 🌹

Thank you Shirley.Β  I love to write, I really do but sometimes when I think of what to write and how to begin, I sometimes get wild imagery and racing thoughts similar to what's in the poem and I tried my best to convey into ink.

Hi Simon, very noir. Beautifully noir. I guess you're trying to convey anΒ
ambition that's trapped. But, if your abstract suddenly has face, you have
accomplished it. Well done. I love it!Β

Thank you Bernadete, spot on!Β  I am trying to find rhythm again.Β  When I was on here last, many moons ago, we set up challenges for each other which sometimes forced us to try something out of our comfort zone and pushed us.Β  Would you be interested one day?Β  'Being me' has said that she would love to but I am just testing the waters.Β  Some of my best work came from those challenges.

I am in, you can count on me. I am sure Ian would like that too. But no pressure, whenever one is ready. I reckon rhythm happens in the most unexpected ways. When you’re not looking, it will look at you.Β

Yes, I think Ian would like it too, he is very talented.Β  Also, Poetess, although I don't think she has been on here for a while either, I might be wrong.Β  I am certainly getting a taste for it again, so I won't be going anywhere, anytime soon.

Hi Simon,
Wow!Β  Being a dealer in art, I thoroughly enjoyed this poetic portrait you have so beautifully created.Β Β
I think Edvard Munch would have been very proud of you.

Peace and love,
Larry xx

I love the way your words paint a picture but also allows the reader to actually feel the words. Great writing x
