Lady Iris

Happy Mother's Day 11/5/2025

Lady Iris

And as she waits patiently
under damp dark ground
waiting for that one magical  moment
just as the sun heats up
and an orchestra of feathered friends plays a tune for a lovely day in may
arising up slowly but surely
until she need to see that light
for herself
and just like that...

she blooms in all her glory
just as an Iris should.

My mother died when I was 38 yes, but we still celebrate her, and I too am a mother so it's a very happy occasion dearest Rory, your compassion has blown me away my friend, it's all good I promise. Thank you for being such a beautiful soul. 🌹

This is literally about an iris sprouting from birth out into the open, it's also a metaphor for a woman. You sure can see all the deepness in my poems dear Rory. Thank you.
