Spring beyond the seelenloch

(art work by myself - the drawing led to the poem)

Spring beyond the seelenloch

I feel the wind on my skin,
cool, just right for me to take wing.

After a deep breath, I let go of the branch,
whirling down towards the
*ā€œseelenlochā€* that was the view for
all my life up here…

The Goddess was with me and
I passed through to the other side.

Mountains empty of life under a birdless, sunless
but blue sky
and nomore winds
made me land upon pale grasses
soundless and unmoving.

Yet in me life began to stir
for my plan to bring a spring to the souls beyond our world
came to be.

Now, a hundred years later,
I tower over the side of these stones
none of us alive have ever seen

and when the season turns, a child comes to gather my leaves that fell
to line his matress with memories of
when he was still alive āˆ’
he misses his mother, his father, but foremost his cat for
she went to other fields…

It was worth the effort to hold on to
my life…

Thank you, I really appreciate this, I wS feeling down because of two deaths in the stepfamily, two weeks apart in the same familyĀ  (both drugs related I am sorry to say) when I did the drawing. To me the drawing was showing this and then in the bath feeling sorry for the lot of us the poem happened. I have always been fascinated by these stone age "soul doors" so I thought of going through one when still alive because of the lonely treešŸ˜Ž. Again, hanx for liking no 125 on CosmošŸ¤£šŸ˜‡
