the thing about birds
I have lifted the birds
To higher places
Safe I Say Safe
And they have lifted me
To higher places
Sing they say Sing
Fly up and soar free but
I don't have their sweet songs
Or plumage of colour
I have not their wings
And so earthbound and duller
I am
