The Proud and Reckless

They play
With laughter, joy, love
Until the lions come,
Jaws dripping with malice
Seeking to devour
What is golden.
Prideful, predictable
Eating what is freely given,
They grow fat
On the joys of others.
Sinking their teeth
Into all that is sacred,
Thoughtless of the life
They themselves
Will lose,
When madness comes
Formed on wings
Of judgement.

RebecaRuth 11.15.25

Jude 1:10 “But these speak evil of whatever they do not know; and whatever they know naturally, like brute beasts, in these things they corrupt themselves.”
