100,000 Men they Marched

100,000 men' they marched                                                                                                                                                                                                                Happily singing to what they thought was an adventure they marched, they marched                                                                                                                              100,000 men they marched
Put on their helmets they marched, they marched
100,000 men they marched
Their battle of death lay ahead they marched, they  marched
100,000 men they marched
They lay in waiting they lay, they lay
100,000 men they lay
Waiting for their battle day they lay, they lay
100,000 men they lay
Their battle began they marched, they marched
100,000 men they marched
The bullets flew they marched, they marched
100,000 men they marched
The knives they stabbed they marched, they marched
100,000 they marched
The gas it blew they marched, they marched
100,000 men they marched
The bombs they fell they marched, they marched
100,000 men they marched
Their friends they died they marched, they marched
50,000 men they marched
Their leaders died they marched, they marched
20,000 men they marched
The war it ended he marched, he marched
One man he marched
One man marched home he marched, he marched
One man he marched, he marched
