The Truth

You said sorry years to late
This was not my future I had a bright one and now its turned to dust
I play that day over in my head 100 times each day
The car was speeding
I begged you to slow down
But no you had to keep going
You were round the corner like a lightning bolt
You never saw the car coming
But I did
I heard the bang
Felt the impact
Smelt the burning rubber
Saw my face in the mirror
Twisting and writhing in pain
I could taste the blood in my mouth
Then you turned saw me
You didn't stop you ran from the scene
My face has healed but my heart never stops aching
You said sorry years to late
I'm scarred for life
And you've taken your next victim
I know the truth of you
And I will tell the world someday
