19 Years of Mess

I was born a fool,
There’s nothing I can do
Every mistake,
I ever make,
Is never bloody new.

I was raised very well,
Not known to rebel,
If another boy,
Had stole a toy,
I’d be the first to tell.

My early teens turned weird,
These years I kind of feared,
I didn’t hide,
But stayed inside,
To watch screens and disappear.

School exams are stress,
I’ve turned into a mess,
Popping pills,
For dangerous thrills,
Life revolves around the sesh.

I got straight into working,
My boss always beserking,
But my shifts are quick,
Colleagues are sick,
And I quit being a junky.

Earth started with Pangea,
And now I end up here,
In love with a girl,
Like a pirate and pearls,
She’s found me from Latvia.

I stood out on a deck,
By a lake in northern Quebec,
Now a lifeguard,
And a tryhard,
Best summer - and I got a paycheck.

I’m back home and I frown,
Feeling very down,
My summer had it’s cost,
Her love has been lost,
I thought we were still sound.

That’s all I have to say,
Things just aren’t going my way,
Not properly feeding,
And my arse is bleeding,
But tomorrow’s a better today.
