Auld Lang Syne
Jill's 2021 challenge
For whom a bell tolls
Echo dim unresolved goals
New Year approaches
Deficiencies encroaches
Concede grandfather time
Clock tower dins final chime
Rejoice Auld Lang Syne anew
Willpower filters through
2021 adrift meek and beguiled
Giving way to inquisitive child
Rest in peace grandfather old
Changes trickle in to unfold
Resolutions evolve ever clear
For promises made draw near
Cherish nostalgia from a past
As if these memories were last
