2:32a.m

2:32a.m

It’s 2:32a.m
She sat up lonely in her bed with the comfort of only her favorite baby blue fleece blanket, the only thing catching her tears that night
She had the TV on with no sound; she just wanted the light so she didn’t have to be in the complete darkness
She flopped back down into her pillows and let out a heavy sigh, she felt the tears rolling down her face once again, she grabbed her favorite stuffed monkey and held it as tight as she could to try and forget why she started crying in the first place.
She closed her eyes and pictured when she was happy with him
He was everything she wanted and more, nearly perfect
He had a twinkle in his baby blue eyes that melted her heart every time he looked her way
He had this way about him that she just couldn't resist
She opened her eyes, wiped her fingers across her eyes and sat up on her bed again
It’s 3:22a.m
She sat up on her bed with her legs criss crossed; monkey still in her lap, she used her hand to hold her head up and gazed out towards the TV but not really watching it
She held her wide eyed gaze and started thinking about him again
He was perfect to her but broke her heart
He was ruthless, heartless
She pictured him with the other girl that stole his heart and couldn’t take it anymore
She got up off her bed and walked over to her dresser, opened a drawer and pulled out this little blue box that she had hidden in the back of it
She pulled the pictures out of the box, grabbed a pair of scissors and shredded them into tiny pieces
She shredded the part of her life that hurt her so much
He was no longer a part of her
