#6

I see a table full of men

All with red eyes

Yet no one cries

Grandpa is gone

I cry and they drink

It’s your father you’d think they’d shed a tear

I find it weird

Laughter followed by sudden silence is all I hear

Grandpa I really wish you were still here

The day we were putting your casket down

That table full of men also went down

In tears we said goodbye along with the whole town

Grandma just watches

She tells me about the talks you and I had when I was a child

I can’t believe you remembered after all those years

I couldn’t help but smile with my eyes full of tears

For you all I have is respect and love

Please watch over me along with my dad up above
