Homesick

I haven't felt well lately
My mind is all over the place
my heart is always pacing
I'm really struggling today
I just couldn't stop crying at first
but now I cannot cry anymore
and still there's a knot in my throat
but if I speak I feel as if I'll choke
my feelings pour out as words onto paper
Many things were unsaid so I wrote a letter
I left it at my old home's mailbox
Now here I sit anxiously with my mind full of thoughts
Waiting for the response; fingers crossed
