9 lives

I evaporated straight through my skin,
sinfully my body mended 
the thousand lashes 
which came from many men with whips.
I sit astounded at the 9 lives 
that i've been given.
neither female nor a feline 
yet I land with
four feet firmly on the cement.
I embody the shape they gave me.
I evaporate like 
water in the kettle
that with morning rush
has been forgotten.
