Poem -

9/11

9/11

Never will we forget that day.
The day they fell like rain.
Crumbling to the ground they went.
Taking the people God had sent.
Whatever the reason they could not stay.
God said that those heroes were too great anyways.
Remembering a day that we tried to hold on.
America we stood, still proud and strong.
Never will we forget those still trapped inside.
With no place to go and no place to hide.
The day it seemed it was coming to an end.
The day our nation shook and we were at a bend.
Friends and family crumble to the ground to cry as they had to tell each other
goodbye.
Not exactly sure what it is they were told, but I'm sure they know now that we are America
the brave and the bold.
As we remember a tragedy with tears in our eyes. I'm sure that the memory of
9/11 will never die.

Wave After Wave

Headed out in a stormy sea,
The only thing I can hear
“Trust me”
So I grab his hand...
