A Balm after Relapse into Self Harm

Yes!

Finally...

my Daddy has found me in this place of foul refuse

He has beaten up the demons that had toyed with me here

He has made my shame a trivial thing
and taken me up in his embrace

He has comforted me with proper food
and rocked me in his safe safe arms

His truth is combing out
biting lice from my lifeless hair

His sunlight is bathing
the once dark side of my moon

His tears have melted to life
my heart of arctic stone

Gentle puffs from his lips have removed
the irritating grit that was blinding my eyes

His softest touch is patting away
the bruises from my bones

His warm holy oil has absorbed
the sting that was writhing in my wounds

Love has won the day
as he has showered me with care

He has pardoned my insanity
and not once my person harmed

He has incinerated all my records of guilt;
they are gone without a trace

My blood returns to my sinews;
they no longer shrink with fear

No longer will I let the liars
confound or confuse

Finally...

I see myself through his words

Finally...

my silence has been heard

Finally.
