Jack And The Cuckoo Clock Heart

Jack And The Cuckoo Clock Heart

Born in Edinburgh Scotland, on the coldest winter's day,
Jack had come into this world, with a frozen heart they say,
Midwife Madeleine saves him, looking through all her stock,
And she finally replaced his heart, with a working Cuckoo Clock.

To prevent an untimely death, there were rules she had to say,
As these were very important, if there ever came the day,
So please listen carefully, so to avoid the heaven's above,
Never play with the hands, don't lose your temper, and never fall in love.

Jack's mother had decided, Madeleine should raise her son,
Madeleine was incapable of having children, so the deal was done,
When Jack turned ten later, and before going to town,
She had repeated the rules precisely, all Jack did was frown.

He meets a girl Miss Acacia, and with her he falls in love,
Madeleine's words reminded him, about the Heaven above,
As fate would loom around him, a fate that was so cruel,
He meets another kid called Joe, when he goes to school.

Joe turns out to be a bully, and also in love with her,
That's when him and his friends had started, and tormenting did occur,
When Joe assaulted Jack, the clock hand gouged Joe's eye,
Jack ran home to Madeleine, convinced that Joe would die.

Madeleine had believed Jack, and helped him to run away,
Believing he was a fugitive, she did not want him to stay,
Jack still longed for Miss Acacia, but wasn't in any position,
That is where he met Georges, a camera fixing Magician.

Georges fixes up Jack's heart, and agrees to help find his love again,
And after some investigation, they headed for Andalusia Spain.
At the local circus, he finds Miss Acacia there,
Georges had advised some caution, not to reveal he cared.

So he instead befriends Miss Acacia, they really got on well,
Jack secretly loved her and further and further he fell,
And when they started talking, they got to know each other fast,
She revealed that her heart belongs, to someone from her past.

Eventually she finds out it's him, and reveals that he is Jack,
He told her what had happened at school, there was no turning back,
Then he reveals a present, something metal and art,
He gives the key to her that can be used to wind his heart.

Before Jack and Miss Acacia could leave this place and truly run away,
Joe had tracked them both down and met up with them this day,
He had been wanting to punish Jack for what he did to him,
He told her about the rules of Jack's heart to drive a wedge within.

After talking to Joe about this, Miss Acacia had now rejected him,
And boarded on a carriage, to depart this place from sin,
Jack was so upset by this he tears at the screws to his heart,
She didn't want to be responsible for Jack's death from the start.

In the carriage Joe told Miss Acacia about Madeleine,
And how she helped Jack escape after his alleged crime,
She was sent to prison for what she did, and all the while she cried,
And didnt last all that long, a broken heart is how she died.

Having the key to Jack's survival, Miss Acacia went out to find,
After hearing what had happened to Madeleine, Jack left the circus behind,
He had gone back to Scotland, and was now sitting at her grave,
Miss Acacia went to turn his clock, to see if she could save.

Just before she put in the key, Jack grabbed it and threw it away,
Choosing to die instead, and in this moment he would stay,
Miss Acacia bent down to Jack, and in a kiss they locked,
And as he broke away from the kiss,
Jack's cuckoo heart had stopped.
