A Beautiful Summer's Day

A Beautiful Summer's Day

Oh to be in England now that spring is here,
'Don't lie you shit - it's raining, pass me my beer;'
once, I was upstaged - beautiful times in Africa:
I had an Alfa, so what? The story is, like it or not.

Someone bought a rich house - I peered thro' a window,
there was a sign over a room door which read:, 'My den,'
the kraut's pad, a jeweller, diamonds are forever,
no. they're not - I was a better lover, Mr. never-never.

Madame bought an Alfa, better than mine, oh well,
what was she trying to do? Shove me to one side?
she did, but maybe I'd had my 'fill,' tutonic bride,
it was over, she'd sked me to stand before her, wide.

The days of Blaubergstrand were gone, Shaw said:
'Birds have no song' - nonsense, I went back where I belong.
