A Big Old Soppy

He’s only as soft as clarts
Sympathetically warm
He wraps her up with cotton-wool incase she comes to harm
Tenderhearted & kind
Compassionately humane
He is overly-attentive if his wife has a little pain

Just like a slobbery puppy dog
When his wife goes out he misses her
So as soon as she walks back in the door
He gets off his chair & kisses her

Sometimes his detailed attention makes her think abit unkind
He won’t trust her with anything so that drives her out of her mind

Whilst smothering his wife with keeness
She feels suffocated with his care
Yet she hasn’t got the heart to tell him
It’s such a delicate affair

If his wife tries to do things for herself
Her husband gets upset & stroppy
But it’s just simply his personality
He’s just a big old soppy
