A bird's song

The dark chapter

A bird's song

Like a bird in a cage,
I listened to every word they ever said or say.
As they all requested for a song,
Each time screaming and chirping that I don't belong.
But they don't listen to my voice,
as to them I'm just an animal amongst people,
a being without a real choice.
As my wings and free will already have been taken,
that without a doubt, sooner or later,
it shall be the only thing I will have left.
Which is my cry for help... my very own voice.
