A Blue Green Oasis

Woke up and was greeted with grey skies above
But my heart still smiled and rejoiced
Still alive and breathing the fresh morning air
Nothing can hide this joy in my voice

Our attitude toward life is key to our happiness
It's basically what makes us all tick
We can look at things and see only the negative
But a positive mind does the trick

Suddenly the woes of the world don't matter
What does is your own little world
The joys and happiness we feel every morning
As a bright shiny new day is served

Our joy and happiness can affect those we meet
As we smile and say, “have a good day!”
Though some may think we're a little unbalanced
In your heart you've discovered the way

If only people would pause in their daily routine
And appreciate all of earth's treasures
In our everyday trials, we can be overwhelmed
Be strong and appreciate these pleasures

If you get up and are greeted by grey skies above
Remember these words that I utter
You're still alive and enjoying life's many joys
